When a San Francisco family with two young daughters purchased a vacation home in the secluded hills of Sebastopol, California, they envisioned a welcoming retreat where friends and family could gather and reconnect with nature. With just six months before summer, we focused on strategic updates for maximum impact rather than a full-scale remodel. Throughout the home, we installed new light fixtures and added personality with carefully selected wallpaper and paint. We completely renovated the primary and kids' bathrooms, while refreshing the remaining bathrooms and kitchen with new countertops and paint. The furniture is intentionally colorful and eclectic, but chosen to withstand active family life—nothing too precious or delicate. The result is a joyful, inviting vacation home where this family can create lasting memories surrounded by the natural beauty of Sebastopol.
