Meet the Team
Whitney Riter Gelinas
Principal Designer
After working in interior design industry for over a decade, Whitney founded Wit Interiors in 2016 with the goal of creating intimate, personal spaces that are both functional and fashionable. She enjoys getting to know clients and problem solving to create bright, airy, smart spaces.
Whitney lives in San Anselmo California with her husband and two spirited daughters whose dedication to to destroying the house in no time flat only makes her more determined to create a home that can stand up to the rigors of family life (and still spark joy).
Tessa Poppe
Designer
After graduating from art school and spending a couple of years as a starving artist, Tessa began her own business designing jewelry. She built a line that was carried in over a hundred boutiques and galleries around the world.
This gave her the opportunity to buy her house in the Oakland hills where she finally had the freedom to design her dream home - and learned an important lesson; curating a space that reflects who you are is really important! The power of interior design gave her a new professional direction and, after school through UC Berkeley’s extension program, began her career with Wit Interiors.
In her free time, Tessa likes to write and draw comics, wander local trails with her puppy, garden, and work on DIY projects around the house with her handy boyfriend.
Corie Fielden

An Oakland native, Corie brings a layered background in home textiles, event florals, and interior design, with a passion for blending function and beauty. She loves interior design for the way it brings her core principles to life, creating spaces that are practical, inviting, and inspiring.
After earning her Master’s in Interior Design and spending five years working in New York, Corie is thrilled to be back in Bay Area, reconnecting with the creative energy and natural beauty that first inspired her.
